Mr. Scott Carleton

Scott Carleton has been the Principal of the Santa Ynez Valley Christian Academy since the summer of 2009. Scott earned his Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, his Master's Degree in Education from San Diego State University, and has a lifetime California Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential. He taught in both public and private Christian schools for twelve years and is in his twenty-ninth year as a Christian School Administrator.

Scott believes SYVCA is set apart from other schools because of the overall programming it offers, its incredible potential, our gifted and experienced teachers, the Board of Directors who have great expertise and vision, our parents who are very involved and supportive, and the partnership and family atmosphere we share.

Scott has been married to his wife Lorri for thirty-one years. Their son Sam and daughter Hayli, are both Azusa Pacific University graduates.
